LUCAN – The Lucan Irish have added a goaltender and welcomed a new defenceman, but it's unclear how much time the new players will spend in Lucan.
The Irish welcomed goalie Devin Golets back to the team after a stint with their Junior 'B' affiliate, the St. Marys Lincolns.
Golets played in Lucan earlier this season, posting one win, four losses and two overtime losses.
Blueliner Brady Murray was also sent down from St. Marys, adding size to the Irish blueline.
"He's an awfully big boy, so he'll be strong in front of the net, and a great attitude," said Irish head coach Dan Mudge.
It's possible both Golets and Murray could be called back up to St. Marys, and their time in Lucan will depend on injuries with the Junior 'B' club.
Mudge was considering adding a new forward Monday, but was unsure if he'll pursue other roster changes before the end of the season.
Last week, the Irish also released two players: Alex Croker and Cam Downie.
Croker had two goals and one assist with the Irish this season, while Downie had one goal, zero assists and 71 penalty minutes in 10 games with the club.
