Driver charged after vehicle hits house

An Erin man is facing charges after the vehicle he was driving left the road and hit the front porch of a Queen St., Acton home about 8:15 p.m. Thursday. No one was injured.
Charged with impaired driving and having over 80 mg of alcohol in 100 ml of blood is Octave Veinneau, 42.

A Milton woman was charged in connection with a shoplifting incident at the Real Canadian Superstore in Georgetown around 5 p.m. Friday.
Store security report they saw a woman attempt to leave the store with a shopping cart full of fruit, vegetables, meat and perfume valued at approximately $1,300. Security apprehended the woman, and police responded.
Charged with theft under $5,000 is Angelika Stojkova, 29, of Milton.

A Mississauga man was charged after store security at the Real Canadian Superstore apprehended a man for shoplifting Saturday.
Police say about 5:10 p.m. security saw a man attempt to leave the store with baby formula he didn’t pay for in his cart.
Charged with theft under $5,000 is Nicholas Skrizevski, 48.

A couple was awoken when a large piece of wood was thrown through the front window of their RR 25 (Hwy. 25) home around 3 a.m. Monday. No one was injured. Damage is $200.

A Magellan GPS was stolen from a vehicle in a driveway at a John St. residence sometime late Friday or early Saturday.

A GPS, CDs and house keys were taken from a vehicle parked at a Confederation St. home sometime between Dec. 10 and Sunday.
